Assign Shift Allowance Policies to Employees Individually and in Bulk
Managing shift allowances efficiently helps ensure employees get the correct pay when working special schedules. Here’s how to assign shift allowance policies to individual employees or multiple employees at once.
Assign a Shift Allowance Policy to an Individual Employee
Step 1: Open the employee's profile.
Step 2: Go to Job Section.
Step 3: Under the Employee Time Tab click on Shift Allowance Policy to assign or edit.
Step 4: Assign the desired shift allowance policy.
Step 5: Set the Effective From date, for example, tomorrow. Optionally, select No End Date if the allowance should continue indefinitely.
Step 6: Click Update to save the assignment.
Assign Shift Allowance Policies in Bulk
Step 1: Navigate to Time & Attendance and Select the Shifts/Weekly Offs & Holidays tab.
Step 2: Under the Assignments tab, go to Shift Allowance Assignments
Step 3: Search for specific employees or select the entire list.
Step 4: Click Update shift allowance policy as needed.
Step 5: Choose the Effective Date and Due Date.
Step 6: Pick the Shift Type for the assignment.
Step 7: Confirm your selections and click on Update Shift to apply the policy.
Applying shift allowance policies—whether for a single employee or in bulk—makes payroll management smoother and ensures accurate compensation for special schedules. Use these steps to keep your shift assignments up to date.
