Keka now enables organisations to configure US employees without mandatory Probation or Notice Period policies. This removes the need for dummy configurations, simplifies onboarding and exits, and aligns employee lifecycle management with US employment-at-will standards.
This capability is controlled via backend configuration and is not hard-coded to a specific geography.
What’s New
US employees can now be assigned:
- --- No probation policy ---
- --- No notice period policy ---
When selected:
- Policy duration is treated as 0 days
- No probation or notice period rules are enforced
- System behaviour adjusts automatically across onboarding, resignation, reporting, and APIs
Why This Matters
- Simplifies US employee onboarding and exit management
- Removes unnecessary dummy policy configurations
- Reduces confusion for HR admins and employees
- Ensures alignment with US employment-at-will practices
This enhancement brings greater flexibility to employee lifecycle configuration while maintaining system consistency, audit integrity, and reporting accuracy.
