Introduction
This article explains how to view and track all positions created under a job. It is useful for recruiters and hiring managers who want to monitor hiring progress, position status, and time to close—without relying on external trackers.
You can access all position-level details directly from the Positions tab within a job.
How to view positions for a job
Go to the Hire module.
Click the Jobs tab.
Select the job you want to review.
Open the Job Info section.
Click the Positions tab.
This opens a consolidated view of all positions created under the selected job.
What you can see in the Positions tab
Position overview
At the top of the Positions tab, you can quickly review:
Closed vs Total positions
A split between Planned and Unplanned positions
This overview helps you understand overall hiring progress at a glance.
Position details
For each position listed, you can see the following information:
Position ID, marked as Planned or Unplanned
Location
Start hire date
Target hire date
Status (Open or Closed)
Time to close
Candidate name (once the position is filled)
Time to close is calculated as:
Candidate hired date (position closure date) − Start hire date
Once a position is filled, this metric helps you understand how long it took to close the position.

Note:
Time to close is calculated automatically and cannot be manually edited.
Tip:
Use the Planned vs Unplanned split to identify hiring deviations from the original workforce plan.
Actions on a closed position
Change the candidate linked to a closed position
If you need to move a candidate to a different position under the same job, you can update the linked candidate even after a position is closed.
Click the three dots under Actions.
Select Change Candidate.
- Select a different open position within the same job category. After making your selection, click on the "Review Changes" button to proceed and confirm your updates.
Click Save.
This is helpful when a candidate needs to be reassigned without reopening or recreating positions.How to view positions across jobs
Easily track and analyze every job position with detailed reports showing metrics like Time to Close, Candidate Name, Closed By (Recruiter), and Planned/Unplanned. These insights help monitor recruiter performance and hiring health.
Monitor hiring progress by tracking job status- open, closed, overdue, and time-to-fill. Choose a date range and click Run.
