Your Skills profile in Keka lets you list and rate your professional skills, attach certificates, and track your growth. Updating it regularly helps showcase your strengths, align with internal opportunities, and support reviews and learning plans.
This article describes how you, as an employee, can add, edit, and bulk update skills in your Keka profile.
Accessing Your Skill Profile
From the left menu, go to Me.

Click Performance and select Skills.
Adding a Skill

On your Skills page, click Add skills to add skill to your profile (usually on the right side).

In the pop-up window:
Type the skill name (you can choose from a predefined repository).
- After choosing a skill, rate yourself using the scale set by your Performance Admin and specify your experience level.
Click Save.

Click on +Add Certificate to add certificate of your skills.

Enter all details in the Add certificate window and click Add.
- If your organisation uses an approval workflow, you might need to add a comment explaining why you're adding or updating a skill.
Editing Pending Requests
On your Skills page:

Click the edit request option next to a skill under Pending Updates section to edit details, such as:

Click update to finalise the modification.
- If there are pending skills awaiting approval, they’ll be listed under Pending Updates.

You can also view your Past Requests under Past Updates. (history of skill changes).
Bulk Editing/Updating Skills

On your Skills page under Performance>Skills>My Skills, click Update all skills.

You’ll see a detailed view (toggle Show detailed view) showing all fields (ratings, certificates, experience, etc.).

Edit items individually here.

Once you click on Update all skills, you can edit in bulk.

Click Update to save your changes.
Notes & Tips
Tip: Be honest when rating yourself. The purpose is development, not comparison.
Important: If a change needs approval, your comment should clearly explain why you're updating/adding the skill.
Note: Some fields (e.g. certificates or behaviours) may not be editable, depending on your org’s settings. Review your skill list occasionally to keep it relevant and current.
