Keka lets you track and update your progress toward goals (or objectives) from your portal. Regular updates help you stay aligned with performance expectations and ensure your manager has clear visibility.
Steps to update progress
-
From your Keka account, go to Performance → Goals, then select the Me tab to see your personal goals.
Find the goal or subgoal under the relevant timeframe. You may see different statuses, such as Not Started, On Track, Needs Attention, At Risk.
Click Update Progress on the goal you want to modify.
Enter the new progress value (in percentage or actual/target format), and select the updated status from a dropdown. You can also add a comment to provide context.
Save your update by clicking on Check-in.
Check that your progress and status reflect correctly in the goal list.
The system often shows a visual progress bar and updated status.
Notes & Tips
If your goal uses the percentage metric, make sure the value you enter is tied correctly to expected completion.
Use comments by + Add Note when there are special circumstances (e.g. delays, dependencies) — this helps managers understand any deviation.
- If a main goal’s progress is tied to subgoals, you won’t be able to update the main goal directly. Instead, update the relevant subgoal; the main goal’s progress will adjust automatically.
Keep your updates consistent — updating regularly makes performance discussions and reviews more meaningful.
Keeping your goal progress updated in Keka is simple but powerful. It ensures both you and your manager have accurate insight into how you're tracking against your objectives. Frequent updates help avoid surprises during reviews and support on‑time interventions if needed.
