Introduction
A job requisition is a formal request submitted by a manager or supervisor to initiate the hiring process for a new role. It typically outlines the position details, qualifications, and budget required for the hire. Once submitted, the requisition goes through an approval workflow.
As part of this process, approvers can now either approve the requisition or send it back to the creator for corrections using the new Send Back feature. This allows for faster collaboration and avoids unnecessary rejections.
Once approved, the requisition becomes available in the Keka Hire Portal, enabling further recruitment steps.
Approving a Requisition
Go to the Org section in the Keka Portal.
Click Hiring, then go to the All Requisitions tab.
Select the Pending Approvals tab.
Check the box next to the employee name(s) whose requisition you want to approve.
Click Approve.
A confirmation popup will appear—click Confirm to finalize the approval.
Once confirmed, the requisition status will be updated, and it will reflect in the Keka Hire Portal.
Sending Back a Requisition for Edits
If something needs to be corrected in the requisition, you can return it to the creator using the Send Back option:
Go to Hiring > All Requisitions.
Click on the Pending Approvals tab.
Find the requisition you want to review and click Take Action.
Inside the requisition view, click Send Back at the top right.
A popup will appear—enter your comments.
Click Send.
The creator will be notified and can make the required changes before resubmitting.
Notes, Tips, Important
Tip: Use the Send Back feature instead of rejecting a requisition—this saves time and improves collaboration between hiring teams.
