After all reviewers have submitted their ratings, an employee’s final rating is calculated based on the ratings provided by reviewers and their respective weightages. In some organisations, a Calibrator is assigned to further refine these ratings. The calibrator’s role is to review the ratings given by all reviewers and provide a final rating for the employee.
Steps to Invite a Calibrator
Go to the Performance section and select Reviews.
-
Under Review Cycles, choose the specific Review Cycle you want to work with and click on View Progress.
-
In the Review Cycle, go to the Post Review Analysis section. And then go to the Calibration tab.
Under the Calibration tab, you can filter employees by department, business unit, or manager to identify the individuals for whom you want to initiate the calibration process.
-
Once you've chosen your criteria, click on Calibrate under the Calibration Status tab. If some of the employee reviews from that group are calibrated, the Manage option appears; otherwise, you see the Calibrate option.
After clicking Calibrate, a new window will appear displaying a list of employees.
-
From this list, select the employees you want to assign a calibrator to by clicking +Invite under Calibration Status.
-
In the pop-up window, you’ll see a search bar. You can either select from available roles or search for the specific calibrator’s name.
-
After selecting the calibrator, click Invite.
Once you invite the calibrator, the system will add them to the list. They will then receive a notification in their inbox to begin the calibration process and from there they can finalise calibration to complete the process.
By following these steps, you can easily invite a calibrator and initiate the calibration process for the employee reviews. This ensures that final ratings are fair and consistent across all reviewers.
