Introduction
Once a candidate has cleared all interview rounds, the next step is to move them into the Preboarding stage in Keka Hire. This stage sets the foundation for the next steps—like document collection, offer release, and onboarding tracking.
You can move a candidate to Preboarding either from their profile or directly from the candidate list.
Move a Candidate from Profile View
Go to the Hire module from the left-hand menu.
Click on the Jobs tab and select the relevant job role (e.g., Customer Success Manager).
Open the Candidates tab under the selected job.
Find the candidate under their current stage (e.g., Screening or Interview Round 2) and click their name to open the profile.
On the candidate profile screen, use the Hiring Stage dropdown to select Preboarding.
In the pop-up window:
Select the Location (e.g., Hyderabad).
Select the Department (e.g., Customer Success).
Optionally add an Internal Note, such as: “Cleared all rounds and is highly talented.”
Click Confirm to complete the move.
Move a Candidate from the Candidate List
In the Candidates tab of the job, locate the candidate.
Click the three-dot (⋮) menu under the Actions column.
Choose Move to > Preboarding.
Enter the required location, department, and an optional internal note.
Click Confirm.
Notes, Tips, Important
Important:
Only move a candidate to preboarding after they’ve cleared all interview rounds.
If the candidate’s resume hasn’t been uploaded, you can still proceed—but be sure to collect any missing documents during preboarding.
