In the review workflow of Keka, after managers submit ratings, there’s typically a calibration stage followed by final rating approval before the review is published. However, if calibration isn’t required for some employees, you can skip this step entirely for those individuals.
Steps to Skip Calibration
- In Keka, go to Performance and click on Reviews, then select Review Cycles.
Select the appropriate cycle (for example, Quarterly Performance Review).

Click View Progress.
Within the review’s progress view, click the Post Review Analysis stage.
Switch to the Calibration tab.
Choose how you’re grouping employees (e.g., By Department, Business Unit, or Manager).

Click Calibrate next to the relevant group/department.
In the calibration screen, check the boxes next to the employees you want to exempt.
Click the three‑dot (⋮) menu close to the Import button.

Select Skip calibration.
A confirmation message will appear:
“Are you sure you want to skip calibration? The rating given to the employee will be their final rating. Any further adjustments will not be allowed.”-
Click Skip to confirm.

The selected employees’ Calibration Status will change to Skipped.

These employees will now go straight to the Summary & Publish stage—bypassing calibration.
When to Use This Option
Use the Skip Calibration feature when:
Ratings are already final and reviewed.
The employee has left the organisation or is on extended leave.
The department doesn’t require calibration in that review cycle.
Once calibration is skipped for an employee, no further edits or calibration adjustments can be made for them in that cycle. For any upcoming cycles, this step will remain bypassed for those individuals.
You’ll save time and streamline the process by skipping calibration where it’s not needed, allowing the review to move swiftly toward finalisation and publishing.
