When conducting performance reviews in Keka, you can control the sequence in which different reviewers (Self, Manager, Peer, etc.) submit their feedback. This is managed through the Form Filling Order, which defines whether reviewers complete the form in a set order or simultaneously.
Keka offers three options for configuring the review form submission order:
Parallel
Sequential
Custom (optional advanced setup, not covered here)
In this article, we’ll focus on the two most commonly used options: Sequential and Parallel reviews, along with the steps to configure them.
What is Sequential Review?
In a Sequential Review:
Reviewers complete the form one after the other, in a specified order.
Each reviewer has their own designated time window.
The next reviewer can only start after the previous one has submitted their feedback or the time window ends.
This ensures that the review process follows a clear sequence. For example, the order could be: Self → Manager.
Example:
Self-review is completed from May 15–21.
Once completed (or skipped), the Manager can begin their review from May 22–28.
What is Parallel Review?
In a Parallel Review:
All reviewers have simultaneous access to the review form.
Reviewers can submit their feedback independently within the same time frame.
This setup speeds up the review process by avoiding delays that occur when reviewers are dependent on each other.
Example:
Both Self and Manager reviews can be completed during the same period, e.g., May 15–21.

Notes & Tips
Tip: Sequential Reviews are useful when you need to control the flow of feedback, ensuring one reviewer completes their input before the next begins.
Tip: Parallel Reviews are faster and more flexible, as all reviewers can provide feedback at the same time.
Important: Ensure you review the timeline settings carefully, as changes can affect the review process flow for all participants.
