If your organization needs to change the leave calendar year (for example, from Jan–Dec to Apr–Mar), this cannot be modified directly within the same leave plan. You’ll need to create a new plan to avoid data inconsistencies.
Steps to Change the Leave Calendar Year:
Go to Leave → Leave Plans → +Add Leave Plan.
Configure the new plan with the required calendar start month.
Example: Select April as the start month for an Apr–Mar cycle.Clone all existing leave types from your current plan to the new one.
Assign employees to this new leave plan once setup is complete.
Use the Import Carryover option to bring forward any previous leave balances.
Note:
Download all Leave Balance and Leave Transaction Reports before changing plans, as existing leave data will be lost once the employee is moved to the new plan.
Verify policy configurations (carry forward, encashment, lapse) in the new plan to ensure continuity.
