With this update in Keka, employees who submit a resignation can now:
See the real‑time status of their resignation request. KekaHR Help Center
View the names of everyone in the approval/acknowledgement chain, and see whose action is still pending. KekaHR Help Center
View their confirmed last working day, based on your company’s exit policy. KekaHR Help Center
So HR gets fewer follow‑up queries, and the offboarding experience becomes clearer.
Default setting & how to turn it off
This setting is ON by default for all tenants (new and existing) in Keka. KekaHR Help Center
-
To disable it:
Go to Org → Exits → Settings → Resignation Settings
Uncheck the box labeled: “Show resignation approval/acknowledgement status to the employee in their profile.” KekaHR Help Center
How it works (according to your configuration)
If you have an Approval Chain Enabled
-
The employee sees a banner:
“Your resignation request dated [date] is awaiting approval from [Name] + 2 more reviewers.” KekaHR Help Center
Clicking the banner shows the full list of reviewers.
Once all approvals are completed, the banner updates to show the last working day.
Before final acceptance, the employee can withdraw their resignation.
If you have an Acknowledgement Chain Enabled
-
The employee sees:
“Your resignation request is awaiting acknowledgement from [Name] + 2 more reviewers. Your last working day will be [date].” KekaHR Help Center
Clicking this shows all reviewers, with the last working day clearly mentioned.
If No Chain is Configured
Resignation is accepted immediately.
-
The employee sees:
“Your resignation request has been accepted and your exit process has started. Your last working day will be [date].” KekaHR Help Center
Special Scenarios
If the resignation is rejected by a reviewer or cancelled by an admin, a banner appears in the employee’s profile with the reason for rejection or cancellation.
