The Labour Welfare Fund (LWF) is a state-managed social security initiative under the Labour Welfare Fund Act, applicable in 16 out of 37 states and union territories.
Each state has its own contribution amounts and deduction frequency — monthly, half-yearly, or annually.
In Keka, LWF contributions are calculated based on the registered state of the organization.
If your organization has multiple locations, you can map other locations to the registered one so that employees across those locations follow the same LWF contribution.
Steps to Map Locations for LWF Contributions
Go to Payroll → Settings → Pay Groups.
Select the relevant Pay Group (if multiple exist).
Click the Configure icon under Actions.
In the Pay Group details page, go to Filing Details → Labour Welfare Fund (LWF).
Click the Edit icon in the LWF section.
In the overlay window:
View the State-wise employee locations.
Select a Signatory from the dropdown.
Add the states you want to map to the registered location using the dropdown menu.
Click Update.
The selected states will now appear under Location of employees linked to state name.
