Does Keka automatically sync data with EPFO/ESIC portals, or do admins need to upload it manually?

Keka does not offer direct API integration with the EPFO or ESIC government portals. This means there’s no automatic sync for statutory filings or contributions.

What Keka provides:

After payroll is processed, Keka automatically generates all the required compliance reports, including:

• ECR files for Provident Fund (PF)

• ESIC contribution sheets

• Challan files and summaries

These files are formatted according to government portal standards.

What admins need to do:

• Download the generated reports from Keka

• Manually upload them to the respective portals:

  • EPFO Unified Portal

  • ESIC Employer Portal

This ensures that payments and returns are filed accurately and on time.

Why this manual step exists:

As of now, government compliance portals do not allow auto-sync from third-party platforms. Manual uploads remain the standard process to maintain control, security, and legal accountability.
