How to remove Professional Tax from salary structure?

Steps to Remove PT from Range-Based Salary Structure

1. Go to: Payroll → Settings → Pay Groups.

2. Select your Pay Group and click on the Configure Icon.

   

3. In the Salary Structure tab, click on Range Based Salary and then click Edit Salary Structure.

   

4. In the next window, click on Professional Tax → click the three dots → select Delete Component.

   

5. A pop-up will appear. Type CONFIRM and click Delete Component to remove PT.

   

Steps to Remove PT from Custom Salary Structure

1. Go to: Custom Salary → click the Edit Icon.

   

2. In the next window, click on Professional Tax → click the three dots → select Delete Component.

3. A pop-up will appear. Type CONFIRM and click Delete Component to remove PT.

   

If a payroll has already been processed, a new version of the salary structure will be created and reflected in the employee's salary breakup.
