Provident Fund (PF) is a government-managed savings scheme where both the employer and employee contribute monthly.
It ensures financial security for employees post-retirement.
If an employee becomes eligible for PF after a salary revision, you can enable PF for them.
Likewise, if an employee opts out, you can disable PF individually or in bulk.
Enable or Disable PF for an Individual Employee
Go to Payroll → Payroll Admin → Operations.
Under Overrides (Salary Components / Contributions / TDS), select PF (Provident Fund) Override – Employer and Employee Share, including VPF.
Make sure the correct Pay Group is selected.
Find the employee and click Edit under Actions.
In the popup window, toggle Enable/Disable PF.
Click Update to save changes.
Enable or Disable PF in Bulk
Go to Payroll → Payroll Admin → Operations.
Under Overrides (Salary Components / Contributions / TDS), select PF (Provident Fund) Override – Employer and Employee Share, including VPF.
Click on Import in Bulk .
Click Download Excel Template .
In the Excel sheet, locate the PF Enabled column and mark:
Yes → to enable PF
No → to disable PF
Save the file and upload it using Upload Excel File.
Match the column headers, review the data, and click Complete → Confirm .
