We’ve introduced a new Debit capability in Spot Rewards to help admins accurately track reward redemptions and maintain up-to-date employee reward balances.
What’s New
Admins can now manually deduct (debit) reward points from employee accounts when points are redeemed for rewards such as gift cards, merchandise, or other perks.

1. Manual Reward Point Deduction
Admins can debit reward points for one or multiple employees, ensuring accurate tracking of reward usage.
2. Flexible Employee Selection
- Select specific employees, or
- Use filters like department, location, or worker type to debit points in bulk.
3. Transaction Transparency
Each debit action creates a transaction record, giving full visibility into reward history and balance changes.
4. Transaction Filters
Easily filter reward transactions by:
- All (credits + debits)
- Credit only
- Debit only
How It Helps
- Keeps reward balances aligned with real-world redemptions
- Enables tracking of offline reward fulfilment (e.g., HR-issued gift cards)
- Improves transparency for both admins and employees
Important Notes
- The debit action only records point deduction.
- Reward fulfilment is not automated and must be handled separately by the organization.
