The New Joiners dashboard in Keka helps HR teams manage the final steps of the hiring process. It centralizes actions for transitioning candidates into employees and ensures no critical detail is missed during onboarding.
Use this guide to understand how to filter candidates, take key actions, and finalize their onboarding journey.
Navigate to Org and go to Onboarding tab, then choose the New Joiners tab.
To quickly locate the candidates you need, use the Filters at the top of the dashboard. You can narrow the list by: Department, Location, Job Title
This makes it easier to track and manage candidates, especially when handling multiple new hires.
Take Action on a New Joiner
For each candidate listed, you’ll find several action buttons. Here's what each one does:
Add as Employee
Click this to open a detailed form where you can finalize the employee's profile. Data already collected during the application and offer process will be pre-filled to save time.
Once submitted, this marks the official start of the employee's journey within your organization.
Mark as No Show
If a candidate doesn't report on their joining date, use this option to mark them as a No Show. This helps:
Track onboarding drop-offs
Maintain accurate hiring metrics
Trigger appropriate follow-up actions
Map to Existing Employee
For returning employees or those with multiple roles, this option lets you link their new profile to an existing employee record. This ensures:
A unified view of their employment history
Accurate tracking across departments or tenures
Cancel Candidature
If plans change and the hire won't proceed, choose this option to cancel their candidature. You’ll also have the choice to archive the candidate’s data for future reference.
Notes, Tips, Important
Tip: Use the filters first to locate the right candidate before taking action.
Important: Marking someone as a “No Show” or canceling a candidature does not automatically delete their data—be sure to archive if needed.
