How to change the setting for the TDS deducted for a Bonus being paid?

Steps to Change TDS Settings

1. Go to: Payroll → Settings.

2. Search for the desired Paygroup and click Configure.

    

3. In the paygroup page, select Other Settings → Miscellaneous Settings.

4. Click Update Settings.

   

5. Scroll down to Additional settings and find the option:
   Do you consider bonuses with future payout dates for Projected Tax Calculation?

   • Select Yes to include bonuses when added to the salary structure.

   • Select No to include only when paid.

6. If you select No, another question appears:
   Do you deduct total payable tax on bonus in the month it is paid out?

   • Select Yes to deduct TDS in the bonus month.

   • Select No to distribute TDS over the remaining months.

7. Click Save to apply the changes.
