Overview
This feature ensures that attendance regularisation windows follow your organisation’s configured cycle, instead of being restricted by the calendar month (1st–end of month).
In many organisations, the regularisation cycle resets on a specific date (e.g., the 25th of every month). With this update, employees can regularise penalties immediately after the cycle resets, without waiting for the next calendar month.
This helps:
- Prevent missed regularisations due to system-imposed gaps
- Reduce last-minute payroll corrections
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately without delays
Who can access this feature?
- Employees who are allowed to submit attendance regularisation requests
- HR/Admins managing attendance policies and regularisation settings
Applies only to organisations with a configured regularisation cycle boundary.
How the feature works
Before this change
- Regularisation window was tied to the calendar month
- Employees could only regularise until the end of the month (1st boundary)
- This created a dead zone when the organisation’s cycle ended earlier (e.g., 25th–31st)
After this change
- Regularisation window is aligned to the organisation’s cycle boundary
- Example:
- Cycle resets on 25th
- Employee gets penalised on 28th
- ✅ Employee can regularise immediately
- ✅ No waiting until the 1st of the next month
Key Behaviour
- Regularisation opens/closes based on configured cycle boundary
- No dependency on calendar month limits
- Employees can act immediately after cycle reset
- Existing regularisation workflows remain unchanged
Important Notes
- Only the availability of regularisation is updated — the process remains the same
- Organisations without a custom cycle will continue using calendar month boundaries
- Previously locked penalties (under old logic) will not be unlocked retroactively
- If the cycle boundary is updated:
- New penalties will follow the updated cycle
- Older penalties will retain their original calculation
Example Scenario
Scenario: Cycle resets on 25th
- Employee is penalised on 28 June
- Earlier behaviour:
- Could not regularise until 1 July
- Result: Penalty often missed and deducted in payroll
- New behaviour:
- Employee can regularise immediately on 28 June
- No delay, no payroll impact
