Introduction
Organizations often have different Leave Advance Policies based on employee categories, locations, or business requirements. Managing these policies manually during every leave advance approval can be time-consuming and prone to errors.
With Leave Advance Policy Assignment, administrators can assign policies directly to employees either individually or in bulk and Keka will automatically fetch the assigned policy during leave advance approval. This helps reduce manual effort, improves consistency, and speeds up the approval process.
How Leave Advance Policy Assignment Works
Leave Advance Policies can be assigned to employees in two ways:
- Individual assignment through Employee Job Details
- Bulk assignment through Excel import
Once a policy is assigned, it is stored at the employee level and automatically applied during leave advance approval.
Assigning Leave Advance Policies in Bulk
Administrators can assign or update Leave Advance Policies for multiple employees using Excel import.
To Import Leave Advance Policy Assignments
- Navigate to Payroll > Payroll admin > Payroll Imports.
Select Import Leave Advance Assignment.
Download the template and enter the required details.
- Upload the completed file.
- Review and complete the import.
Assigning a Leave Advance Policy to an Individual Employee
You can assign a Leave Advance Policy directly from the employee profile.
To Assign a Policy
Navigate to Employee Profile > Job Details > Other.
Locate the Leave Advance Policy field.
- Select the required policy.
Save the changes.
