Overview
Break Regularisation enables organizations to automatically detect employee breaks from swipe data and allows employees to regularize them with predefined reasons. Supervisors can approve or reject breaks individually or in bulk, ensuring that only approved break durations count toward effective working hours.
This enhancement improves accuracy in attendance tracking, approvals, and payroll calculations.
What’s New
Automatic Break Detection
The system detects break periods based on gaps between consecutive swipe logs during shift hours and pre-populates them in the regularization form.
Break Regularization with Reason Codes
Employees can select a reason from a predefined dropdown (for example, depot visit, meeting, or personal break) for each detected break before submitting the request.
Support for Multiple Breaks per Day
Employees can review and submit multiple break entries in a single regularization request.
Flexible Approval Workflow
Supervisors can approve or reject break regularizations individually or in bulk, allowing more precise validation of break requests.
Accurate Effective Hours Calculation
Only approved break durations count toward effective working hours. Unapproved or unsubmitted breaks are excluded and may result in effective hour reduction or leave deduction based on attendance rules.
Impact
This update helps organizations:
- Automate break detection from swipe data
- Capture structured break reasons for better visibility
- Enable granular supervisor approvals
