PAYROLL: WPS formats for RAK Bank, Commercial Bank of Qatar, ANB, ENBD & HSBC Bank

Overview

We’ve introduced support for automated Wage Protection System (WPS) file generation for additional banks across the GCC region. Payroll administrators can now generate bank-compliant payroll upload files directly from payroll data, eliminating the need for manual formatting.

This release adds support for the following banks:

• RAK Bank
• Commercial Bank of Qatar
• Arab National Bank
• Emirates NBD
• HSBC

These enhancements enable organizations operating in United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia to generate compliant payroll payment files aligned with local Wage Protection System (WPS) regulations.

Key Enhancements

1. Automated WPS File Generation

Payroll administrators can now generate bank-specific WPS payroll files automatically from payroll data.

With this update:

• Payroll data is transformed into bank-compliant file formats
• Required employee payment details are auto-populated from payroll records
• Files can be downloaded and uploaded directly to bank portals

This removes the need for manual file preparation, significantly reducing payroll processing time and errors.

2. Multi-Country WPS Compliance

The system now supports WPS payroll file generation across multiple GCC countries, ensuring compliance with country-specific salary payment regulations.

Supported regions include:

• United Arab Emirates
• Qatar
• Saudi Arabia

The generated files follow each country’s regulatory structure and required data formats for salary disbursement.

3. Bank-Specific File Format Support

Each supported bank has its own payroll file structure and validation requirements. The system automatically generates the appropriate file format based on the selected bank.

Supported formats include:

• SIF
• CSV
• XLSX
• WPY

The platform also ensures that file naming conventions and record structures follow each bank’s specifications.

4. Built-in Data Validation

Before generating the WPS file, the system validates payroll and employee data to ensure it meets bank and regulatory requirements.

Validations include:

• Correct employee identifiers and IBAN details
• Accurate salary and payment amounts
• Matching summary and employee record totals
• Proper date formats and file structures

If any issues are detected, the system displays clear validation errors, allowing payroll administrators to resolve them before generating the file.

5. Paycard and Salary Account Handling

The system supports both:

• Standard employee bank accounts
• Salary pay cards where applicable

This ensures that payroll files correctly include all employees regardless of the payment method required by the bank.
