Bulk updating goal progress helps organisations keep performance data accurate and up to date without manual effort. With Keka’s Import Goal Progress feature, authorised users can efficiently update progress and status for multiple employees at once using a structured Excel upload—ensuring consistency, saving time, and enabling better performance tracking across teams.
Who can do this?
Only users with the right permissions under Performance > Goals > Administration can access the import options.
Steps to Import Goal Progress in Bulk
Navigate to the Goals Section
Go to the Performance tab from the left menu.
Select the Goals tab on the top.
Click on Administration, and stay under the Goals sub-tab.
Start the Import
Click the dropdown beside Import goals on the top right.
Choose Import goal progress from the list.
Choose Timeframe & Employees
In the popup, select the appropriate timeframe (e.g., 2025).
Use filters such as Business Unit, Department, Pay Grade, and Location to narrow down employee selection.
Select the employees whose goal progress you want to update.
Click Next.
Download and Fill the Excel Template
Download the Excel Template provided on the screen.
Fill in the necessary fields:
Employee Number
Employee Name
Goal (Objective) Name
Sub-goal Name (if applicable)
Time Frame
New Value (progress %)
New Status (e.g., On Track, At Risk)
Note: If an employee has multiple goals with the same name in the same timeframe, you must exclude them to avoid errors.
Upload the File
After completing the Excel, click Upload Excel File to proceed.
Match Excel Columns
Match the column names from the Excel sheet to the respective fields in Keka.
Confirm that each column (like Employee Number, New Value, etc.) is correctly mapped.
Click Continue.
Preview & Validate
Keka will show a preview of the data.
2. Any errors (e.g., missing values) will be highlighted in red.
Complete the Import
Once all data is validated, click Complete to finish the process.
Correct them if needed.
Click Confirm.
