The Automatic Closing of Timeframes feature allows Global Admins to automate the closing of goal timeframes once their end date has passed. This ensures that employees can no longer update goal progress after the timeframe has ended, maintaining accuracy and consistency in performance tracking.
Why This Feature Is Useful
Previously, timeframes had to be closed manually after their end date. This often led to delays or oversights, allowing employees to continue editing goals even after the evaluation period was over. With this new feature, Keka automatically closes timeframes once the end date is reached—saving time and reducing errors.
Let's understand how you can enable or disable automatic closing of timeframes:
Navigate to the Performance section from the left-hand menu.
Click on Goals, then select the Settings tab.
Under Settings, locate the Time Frames section.
Click Edit Settings to modify the configuration.
In the pop-up window, toggle the switch to enable or disable automatic closing.
Click Save to apply the changes.
Notes & Tips
By default, this setting is disabled.
Only Global Admins can enable or disable this feature.
Once enabled, any timeframe with a defined end date will automatically close when that date passes.
After a timeframe is closed, no changes can be made to the goals under it.
If a timeframe that was automatically closed is manually reopened, it must be manually closed again — the system will not auto-close it a second time.
