When an employee resigns or needs to be terminated, HR/Admin users can easily initiate the exit process on Keka. Once initiated, the employee immediately moves into the notice period, unless a custom last working day is assigned.
Follow the steps below to initiate an exit:
Open the employee’s Profile and click on Actions.
Select Initiate Exit from the dropdown.
In the Initiate Exit window, choose the Reason for Exit and specify whether a discussion was held. If yes, enter a summary.
Select the appropriate Resignation/Termination Reason.
Choose the Notice Given Date and the Last Working Day (either system-calculated or manually selected).
Specify whether the employee is Eligible for Rehire.
Add a Comment and upload any Attachments, if needed.
Click Initiate Exit.
After these steps, the request moves to approval, if required. Once approved, the employee officially enters the exit process.
