During a performance cycle, employees are expected to regularly update the progress of their objectives to ensure continuous tracking of their performance. In Keka, each employee has a dedicated performance dashboard that allows them to view, update, and monitor their progress. To make this process easier, Keka allows performance admins to set up automatic reminders for employees to update their objectives based on a chosen frequency.
Steps to set it up:
Go to the Performance module and open the Goals section.
Click on the Settings tab at the top.
Under Time Frames, click Edit Settings.
Select your desired Frequency for Goal Updates (e.g., weekly, monthly).
Click Save to apply and enable automated reminders.
This ensures that employees receive regular notifications to keep their objectives up to date throughout the review cycle.
Setting Up Event Triggers to Notify Employees and Managers
You can also configure event triggers to automatically notify employees and managers whenever an objective’s progress is updated.
Go to the Settings section and select Communications.
Click on Event Triggers and then choose Performance.
Locate the option Performance Employee's Objective Progress Updated and toggle it ON.
Under this event trigger, you’ll find two available actions:
Email to Self – Sends a notification to the employee.
Email to Manager – Sends a notification to the reporting manager.
You can enable either or both actions depending on your organisation’s needs.
By setting up reminders and event triggers, Keka ensures that both employees and managers stay informed about goal progress, promoting accountability and timely performance tracking across the organisation.
