Example of Goal/KRA Alignment
Suppose a software company sets a company-wide goal to increase annual revenue by 20%.
The Sales team might create a goal to close 30% more deals.
The Marketing team could target 40% more qualified leads.
Individual employees can then set personal goals supporting their department’s objectives, such as upselling existing clients or optimising specific campaigns.
Through this cascading alignment, every effort; individual or departmental contributes directly to the company’s overall success.
How to Enable Goal/KRA Alignment
Navigate to Performance and click on Objectives. Under Objectives, select Settings in your Keka HR portal. Now click on Objective Settings.
2. Under Advanced Objectives Settings, click Edit.
3. Use the Enable Alignment toggle to turn goal alignment on or off.
4. When enabled, the option “Allow child Goal/KRA to contribute to parent Goal/KRA progress” is turned on by default.
You can disable this if you don’t want sub-goals to impact parent goal progress.
Users can also override this setting at the child goal level.
5. Click Save to confirm your settings.
How to Create an Aligned Goal/KRA
Go to Me and click on Performance. Under Performance, click on Objectives. And then go to My Objectives.
2. Click +Add Objective.
3. And enter the required goal details.
4. Once done, click Publish.
5. Adjust the weightage accordingly for al the goals and click on Assign.
6. Find the KRA you want to align, click the three dots (⋮) beside it, and select Align to a Objective.
7. Filter out the objective by timeframe and objective type and choose the parent Goal/KRA from the displayed list and click Save to complete the alignment.
