If an employee has submitted a regularization request for dates that should actually be marked as leave, the regularization request must first be cancelled. Once cancelled, a leave request can be raised for the same dates.
Use this process when you need to convert an employee's regularization request into a leave request.
Step 1: Cancel the Regularization Request
- Navigate to the employee's Profile → Time tab → Attendance tab → under Logs & Requests → Attendance Requests → Regularization Requests, then open the required regularization request and click Cancel Request.
- Locate the regularization request submitted for the relevant date(s).
- Open the request and click Cancel Request.
- Confirm the cancellation.
Note: The regularization request must be cancelled before leave can be applied for the same dates.
Step 2: Apply Leave on Behalf of the Employee
- Navigate to the employee's Profile.
- Go to Time Tab > Leave section > Request leave.
- Select the appropriate Leave Type.
- Choose the date(s) for which the regularization request was cancelled.
- Add a note or reason, if required.
- Click Request.
Important
Leave requests submitted through Request Leave are automatically approved.
Summary
To convert a regularization request into a leave request:
- Cancel the existing regularization request.
- Apply leave for the same date(s).
Managers can complete the process on behalf of employees using Request Leave from the employee profile, while employees can cancel their own regularization request and submit a leave request through the regular leave application flow.
