Replacing employees quickly after an approved exit is critical to maintaining team productivity. Previously, recruiters or HR teams had to manually raise a new requisition after an exit was approved, leading to delays and duplicate efforts.
With this update in Keka Hire, exit approvals can now automatically trigger the creation of a backfill requisition. Key job details are pre-filled, enabling recruiters to review and submit the requisition immediately without recreating role information.
This enhancement accelerates replacement hiring, reduces manual coordination, and prevents duplicate requisitions.

This feature is available to all Keka Hire customers and applies to employees marked as resigned or terminated.
Important notes
- If required configuration settings are disabled, manual review will be required before submission.
- If mandatory information is incomplete, the system prompts the approver to fill in the missing details.
- Duplicate backfill requests for the same employee are automatically restricted.
By embedding hiring initiation directly into the exit workflow, organizations can reduce turnaround time, maintain workforce continuity, and eliminate unnecessary coordination between HR and recruitment teams.
