A common frustration was receiving vague error messages while applying for leave, especially when penalties were involved. Employees often didn’t know why they couldn’t apply or how to fix the issue—leading to escalations and delays.
We’ve now enhanced leave application validations to:
Show explicit messages indicating what’s blocking the application (e.g., pending penalties, overlapping requests)
Provide a Cancel Penalty button (where applicable), allowing users to resolve the issue immediately without waiting for admin intervention
This improves self-service capabilities and significantly reduces support dependency during leave planning.
