Introduction
This article explains how to declare your tax-saving investments in Keka. It’s designed for employees who want to reduce their taxable income by submitting eligible investment details for the financial year. Declaring these investments ensures your employer can apply the right deductions when calculating your monthly tax deduction.
You’ll learn how to:
Navigate to the tax declaration section
Add or update your declarations
Declare house property, other income, and previous employment
Download Form 12BB
Use additional services for tax filing
Access the Declarations Section
Go to My Finances.
Click Manage Tax.
You’ll land on the Declaration tab.
Select My Declarations to view your submitted items.
Here, you’ll see all declarations you've made, the relevant sections, the declared amounts, and what has been accepted by the payroll team.
Add or Edit a Declaration
From the My Declarations tab, choose the relevant Section on the side.
Scroll to the Deduction Name you want to declare under.
Click Edit Declaration.
Enter the Declaration Amount.
Upload Proof Documents, if required.
Click Save.
You’ll see a success message once it’s saved.
Declare House Property (Rented or Owned)
Go to the House Property tab.
Choose +Add Rented Residence or +Add Owned Residence.
Enter the relevant details and save.
Declare Additional Income
Click the Income From Other Sources tab.
Select +Add Income From Other Sources.
Choose the Income Category and enter the Amount Earned.
Click Save.
A success notification will confirm the update. You can edit it later by clicking the three-dot menu.
Generate Form 12BB
Form 12BB is a summary of your declared deductions.
To download it:
Click the Form 12BB tab.
Choose the relevant Financial Year.
Click Generate Form 12BB.
