Sometimes, organizations go through major transitions—like restructures or layoffs—that require multiple employees to exit the company at once. This is referred to as a Bulk Exit.
Managing these exits thoughtfully ensures compliance, minimizes disruption, and supports affected employees during a tough time.
Before processing exits in bulk, it’s important to define the reasons employees are leaving. These reasons will appear during the resignation or termination process.
Navigation
Navigate to Org from the left-hand menu
Click on the Exits tab
Go to Exit Settings
Click on Resignation & Termination
Choose either Resignation or Termination, and then hit Edit next to the one you want to customize
Click on Add Reason
In the dialog box, enter the reason for exit.
Click Add to save
📝 Tip: Use clear and consistent terminology so HR and reporting teams have accurate insights into exit trends.
Once added, these reasons will be available for selection whenever employees resign or are terminated—individually or in bulk.
