Introduction
A floater leave, also known as a floating holiday, is a type of paid time off that offers employees flexibility to take a day off at their discretion within a specified period. Unlike fixed holidays, floater leaves allow employees to select when they want to take time off, based on their personal preferences, religious observances, or regional festivals. This benefit is typically offered in addition to other paid leave and is meant to provide employees with more flexibility to celebrate specific occasions or holidays that may not be observed by the entire organization.
Organizations may offer floater holidays to accommodate regional festivals or special occasions that are relevant to individual employees. Here's how you can apply for a floater leave in the Keka portal.
Apply for a Floater Leave
Navigate to the Me section of the Keka portal. This will direct you to the Leave tab.
Under the Summary section, click on Request Leave.
Select Floater Leave:
In the leave application pane, choose the Date for your floater holiday.
Then, click on the Available Leave Types dropdown and select Floater Leave.
Add a Note if necessary, and specify the name of the employee you wish to notify regarding your leave.
Once all details are entered, click on Request to submit your floater leave application.
