Introduction
In any organization, managing employee leave is crucial to ensure smooth operations. Employees are typically provided with various types of leave such as Earned/Privileged leave, Sick/Casual leave, etc. These leave types can differ in terms of eligibility, encashment, and carry-forward options. There may also be situations where an employee wishes to change the type of leave they've applied for, or adjust the dates of approved leave. This guide outlines the process for managers, HR, or admins to make such changes in the employee’s leave records.
Change Leave Type or Leave Dates for an Employee
Use the Global Search to find the employee’s profile.
Under the Time tab, select Leave.
Scroll to the bottom and locate the Leave History section. Search for the leave you want to adjust.
Under Actions, click on Options and choose either:
Change Leave Type to modify the type of leave.
Change Leave Dates to adjust the leave dates.
Change Leave Type:
In the window that appears, select the new leave type from the drop-down menu, provide the reason, and confirm.
Change Leave Dates:
If changing dates, select the new dates, enter the reason, and confirm.
By following this process, the Reporting Manager, Global Admin, or HR Manager can efficiently update an employee’s leave details, ensuring the correct type of leave is applied or that the dates reflect any necessary changes.
