Overview
In Keka, every praise matters — and sometimes, you may want to make it more formal. Certificates of Appreciation let you recognize employees in a way that feels official, personal, and shareable.
This feature is perfect for managers, HR admins, and team leads who want to reinforce recognition culture by going beyond simple praise or badges.
How Certificates of Appreciation Work
When you give praise to an employee, Keka now lets you generate a personalised certificate.
The certificate includes who praised the employee, what the praise was for, and the date.
It reflects the badge colours and icons used in recognition, keeping the look consistent with your organisation’s style.
Employees can download or share the certificate, making it easy to showcase achievements both internally and externally.
Privacy & Visibility
Certificates are visible only to the giver and the receiver.
If the employee chooses, they can save or share it with others (e.g., in team meetings or on professional platforms).
Certificates are separate from attachments — they do not replace or duplicate documents uploaded elsewhere in Keka.
Giving Praise & Certificates
From the Continuous Feedback Summary, you can quickly give praise using Quick Actions:
-
Click Give Praise.

-
Select an employee, type your message, and choose a badge (e.g., Top Performer or Team Player).

-
(Optional) Add gift points, link a project, or attach files.

Click Submit.
- Even without gift points, you can still give praise with a badge and message.
- Every praise automatically generates a Certificate of Appreciation that employees can view, save, or share. This ensures that your recognition process stays smooth and effortless.
Notes & Tips
- Tip: Encourage employees to download their certificates. They can add them to personal achievement records or professional profiles.
- Important: Certificates are tied to praise and badges. If badges aren’t yet configured in your organisation, set them up first under Settings → Praises & Badges.
