Overview
The client summary page offers a quick overview of essential client information. It provides an estimate of the revenue expected from the client, along with a breakdown of billable and non-billable hours. Moreover, you can access activity logs and more right from the summary page.
This page serves as a valuable tool for tracking key metrics and collaborating with various team members working on client projects. Let's explore the information available on the client summary page and how you can make the most of it.
To access the client summary page, simply go to the Project menu (1) and click on Clients (2). Here, you will see a list of all the clients that have been added to your organization.
Choose the specific client (3) you want to view the summary for.
The top section of the page provides essential client information, including details about the Client Manager assigned to the client. You can also view the Billing Currency for the client and the Rate Unit that determines the billing unit used for invoicing.
By clicking on the Three dots icon, you can access more options. This includes viewing Custom Fields specific to this client, updating client details, or deleting the client from this window.
Revenue Estimate
This section provides a detailed breakdown of the monthly billable amount calculated from timesheets related to billable tasks assigned to project resources. It includes a visual representation of invoiced and non-invoiced revenue through a chart, with the option to analyze data by year for a comprehensive overview of the client's billing status.
Activity Log
On the right side of the page, you can find an activity log that tracks any changes made to client details, such as billing and contact information, by assigned team members. This log shows who made the changes and when they were made.
To review activities over a specific time period, click on "View All Activity" and choose from predefined ranges like 7, 14, or 30 days, or set a custom range.
Billable and Non-Billable hours
The section on billable and non-billable hours on the summary page shows the total project hours for a client, categorizing them into billable (chargeable) and non-billable (non-chargeable) hours. This distinction is helpful for effective project management and ensuring compliance with billable hour limits. It also enables a comparison of hours spent over different months and years, with the option to select a specific year for a detailed analysis.
Notes
Utilize the notes feature in Keka to create and distribute essential notes or files regarding a client with all team members involved in associated projects. Enter your note in the designated text box and upload any pertinent files to facilitate effective communication and information exchange among team members.
Billing Address
The Billing Address section displays the main billing address for a client. To add an address for the first time, click on the +Add Billing Address button. This action will open a window where you can enter the necessary address details needed for client billing purposes.
To update the billing address, simply click on the Edit icon at any time.
