Project timesheets are essential documents that keep a record of the time an employee spends working on a project. They usually consist of vital information such as the name of the project or task, the date and duration of work performed, and the employee/s who undertook the work. These records can be used to track the progress of a project, distribute resources efficiently, and evaluate project performance.
In this article, we will discuss all the features available in this section. Please note that not all features may be visible to you as their visibility depends on your organization's policies.
Managing timesheets
In order to manage your teams timesheets, navigate to My Team and open the Timesheets tab.
The Timesheet tab contains three sections: Approvals, Project Time and Week Summary. Here, you can approve/reject timesheets submitted by your team and can find details like timesheet period, total hours spent on a particular project, billable and non-billable hours, week summary etc.
Approval
To approve or reject any timesheets, click on Approvals. You have two viewing options here: Employee View and Project View.
Under Employee View, you can act upon any specific timesheet submitted by any individual employee in your team. Under Project View, you can act upon all timesheets pertaining to a particular project submitted by all the employees involved.
To approve/reject a specific timesheet of any particular employee, click on Employee View (1) and then select the employee (2). Check the box (3) against the timesheet you want to act upon and then click Approve/Reject (4).
If you choose Reject, an overlay window will appear where you will have to provide the reason for rejection and then click Reject.
If you want to act upon all timesheets pertaining to a particular project submitted by all the employees involved, click on Project View (1). Select the project (2) and check the boxes (3) against the timesheet. Now, click Approve/Reject (4).

Project time
If you want to check the total time your team has spent on a particular project, including details of employees involved, navigate to My Team >> Timesheet.
Under Project Time (1), select the project (2). Now you can see details (3) like names of employees involved, billable/non-billable hours etc. If you want to download the details in Excel or PDF, click on the Download (4) button.
Week summary
To know how many hours (billable and non-billable) your team members have worked on different projects, navigate to My Team and open the Timesheet tab.
Under Week Summary (1), click on the Calendar (2) icon and select a date range. Now, you can find a timesheet summary for the week (3) you have selected. The summary includes employee-wise timesheet count, billable/non-billable hours, etc. If you want to download the week summary in Excel or PDF, click on the Download (4) button.
