Managing Resource Requests

Project managers and client managers have the ability to request additional resources for their projects based on specific requirements. The responsibility for allocating these resources generally rests with the resource management team. You can oversee and handle all resource requests through the Resource Requests section located in the Resource tab of Keka PSA.

Navigate to the Project section in the left navigation pane, then select the Resources tab. From there, click on the Resource Requests tab to access the various resource requests.

The Pending Resource Requests tab displays all requests that are awaiting your attention. In contrast, the Closed Resource Requests tab provides a record of previous resource requests that you have either approved or rejected.

To take action on a specific resource request, click the three dots in the Actions column. This will reveal a menu of options for you to choose from. To approve a resource request and assign a resource to the project, simply select "Allocate" from the drop-down menu.

This will direct you to the Allocate Resource window, where you can select and assign an appropriate resource for the project. If you decide to reject a resource request, simply choose "Reject" from the drop-down menu.

Upon doing so, the Reject Resource Request window will appear. Here, you can provide a reason for the rejection before clicking the Reject button to finalize your decision.

You can also add comments to a resource request if you need more information or wish to provide additional insights. To do this, select "Comment" from the drop-down menu. Enter your message in the Comments window and press the Enter key to submit your feedback.
