How do I set up the configuration to allow only team members to log timesheets?
In Keka for Projects, you have the flexibility to configure who is permitted to log time entries for each project. You can choose to allow all employees with the assigned timesheet policy to submit their entries, or you can restrict this capability to only those employees who have been added to the project. Additionally, you can set the system so that only employees directly assigned to a specific task are allowed to enter time entries for that task.
To set up the permissions so that only team members can log timesheets, navigate to the Projects section. Here, you will find a list of Active Projects, which displays all the projects currently available. Click on the name of the project you wish to configure.
On the Project page, navigate to the Settings section and select the Timesheets option. Then, click on Edit Settings to proceed.
In the settings window, locate the option labeled "Who can log timesheets." Here, you will have two choices: "Team members can log timesheets" or "Only assignees can log timesheets."
If you select "Team members can log timesheets," any employee assigned to the project will have the ability to log timesheets for all tasks within that project. Conversely, if you opt for "Only assignees can log timesheets," employees will be limited to logging timesheets solely for tasks they are directly assigned to, as well as for any tasks that currently do not have an assigned employee.
After making your selection, be sure to click "Update" to save your changes.
We hope this guide has clarified the process for updating the timesheet settings to allow only team members to log their timesheets. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to explore our other articles or reach out to us directly for support!
