How do I assign or disable a timesheet policy for an employee?
Timesheets can only be completed by employees who have been assigned a Timesheet Policy. Those without an assigned Timesheet Policy will not have access to the Timesheet option. Additionally, billing for Timesheets is determined by the total number of employees linked to the Timesheet Policy. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to assign or disable the Timesheet Policy for employees.
To assign a Timesheet Policy to employees, navigate to the Project section (1) and choose Timesheet Policies & Settings (2). In this section, locate the Timesheet Policy heading and select Timesheet Policy Allocation (3).
To assign the Timesheet Policy to employees, you have two options: for bulk assignments, simply select the employees using the checkbox and click on "Assign/Change Policy." Alternatively, if you prefer to assign the policy to individual employees, you can do so by clicking the "+" icon located under the Actions menu.
In the dialog that appears, choose the appropriate Timesheet policy and specify the desired Timesheet period. After making your selections, click on the Save button to confirm your changes.
To disable Timesheets, follow a process similar to assigning them.
For bulk disabling, select the employees using the available checkbox and then click on "Disable Timesheet."
If you prefer to disable Timesheets for individual employees, you can do so by selecting the relevant option under the Actions menu and clicking "Disable Timesheet."
After selecting "Disable Timesheet," a pop-up will appear; simply click on the "Disable" button in that pop-up to proceed.
We hope this guide has clarified the process for assigning or disabling the Timesheet Policy. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to explore our other knowledge articles or reach out to our support team for help!
