Introduction
Employees can now view their tax exemption status by jurisdiction and raise exemption requests directly from their payroll profile. Payroll Admins can review and manage these requests from the employee profile or through Bulk Ops.
This provides a self-service workflow for employees and a centralized way for admins to manage exemptions with a complete audit trail.
For Employees
Employees can raise a tax exemption request directly from their profile.
- Go to Finances → Taxes from your employee profile.
- View your existing tax exemption status for the applicable jurisdiction.
- Select the option to raise a tax exemption request.
- Enter the required exemption details.
- Submit the request for review.
Note: If you need to request an exemption across multiple jurisdictions, you must raise a separate request for each jurisdiction.
For Payroll Admins
Payroll Admins can review and manage employee tax exemption requests directly from Keka.
From the Employee Profile
- Go to the required Employee Profile.
Navigate to the employee's Tax Exemptions section.
- Review the exemption request and the relevant details.
- Take the required action on the request.
- Once processed, the exemption status is updated in the employee's profile.
Using Bulk Ops
Payroll Admins can also manage exemptions in bulk.
- Go to Payroll Admin → Bulk Ops.
Select the relevant Tax Exemption option.
- Review the applicable employee exemption requests.
- Take the required action.
