Introduction
Keka now supports additional benefit types to help organizations configure a wider range of employee benefits within payroll.
A total of 7 new benefit types have been introduced across Health and Finance categories, enabling better compliance and flexibility—especially for organizations offering supplemental insurance and retirement plans.
To create a benefit using the new types-
- Navigate to Payroll
Select Benefits
Click on Create Benefit In the Benefit Type dropdown, you will now see the newly added options under-
- Health
- Finance
- Select the required benefit type Configure contribution details based on the selected type
- Click Save

Health Category
These are pre-tax benefits designed for supplemental insurance coverage:
- Cancer Insurance
- Accident Insurance
- Critical Illness Insurance
- Hospital Indemnity Insurance
Finance Category
These are retirement-related benefits:
- 457(b) (Pre-tax)
- Roth 457(b) (Post-tax)
- Roth SIMPLE IRA (SIMPLE) (Post-tax)
