Keka now supports Multiple Shifts, enabling employees to work and track attendance across multiple shift blocks within the same day. This enhancement is designed for industries such as hospitality, healthcare, retail, BPO, and GCC operations where split-shift schedules are common.

Key Features

Multiple Shift Assignments

• Assign up to 3 shifts per day for an employee.
• Prevent overlapping shift timings.
• Manage all multi-shift allocations through the new Multiple Shift Board.

Job Codes

• Create and manage job codes with: 
  • Name
  • Description
  • Location (optional)
• Assign job codes to shifts for accurate workforce tracking.
• Automatically map new job codes to employees when required.

Shift-Based Attendance

• Employees select the relevant shift while clocking in.
• Attendance is tracked separately for each shift.
• View effective hours, gross hours, and attendance details at the shift level.

Payroll Integration

• Job-code-based work hours are sent to Payroll.
• Different pay rates can be configured for different job codes.
• A default pay rate is applied when no job code is selected.

Overtime & Penalisation Support

• Configure overtime calculations: 
  • Per shift
  • Across all shifts in a day
• Apply penalisation rules at the shift level, including: 
  • Late arrivals
  • Early exits
  • Grace period usage

Reporting Enhancements

• View both shift-level and daily aggregated attendance data.
• Drill down from summary metrics to individual shift records.
