Keka has introduced a powerful enhancement to how you assign weightages across your objectives and OKRs. You can now assign or edit weightages not just at the objective level, but also for Key Results (KRs) and child objectives—even when no Key Results exist.
What’s New
Flexible Weight Assignment
-
Users can now assign and edit weightages directly to:
Objectives in the current timeframe.
Key Results and child objectives of a specific objective.
-
This works regardless of whether Key Results are present under an objective—removing the previous constraint that required at least one KR to assign weight to child objectives.
Contextual Access Across Views
-
Weightage assignment is now accessible from multiple screens depending on your role and permissions:
My Objectives
My Team’s Objectives
Department Objectives
Company Objectives
Intuitive Modal Interface
When you choose to assign or edit weightages, a modal opens with a list of items (objectives, KRs, or child objectives).
Enter percentage values that add up to 100%, then click Allocate to save or Cancel to discard.
-
Use Clear Weightage to reset inputs in the modal.
Contextual Weight Distribution
The weights you assign determine how each item contributes to the parent objective’s progress, supporting more accurate, tailored performance tracking across teams and individuals.
Why It Matters
This enhancement gives you more control and flexibility over how goals and results are weighted and evaluated. Whether objectives include key results or not, you can now proportionally distribute importance among all contributing items, making performance tracking more aligned with real priorities.
Additional Notes
Role-based access: Ability to assign/edit weightages depends on your user role and permissions.
No changes to detail page UI: This update improves the modal-based weight assignment experience only — there are no changes to the existing Goals & KRs detail pages at this time.
