We have introduced Position-Based Hiring & Tracking in Keka Hire, enabling teams to plan, track, and analyze hiring at an individual position level—instead of managing everything at a job level or in spreadsheets.
For teams hiring multiple openings for the same role (across locations or in phases), recruiters previously had to create duplicate jobs or track position-wise progress in Excel. This made it difficult to measure ownership, monitor position status, and report accurate time-to-fill. With this release, hiring teams can now manage each position independently within Keka Hire, with candidates mapped to positions at the time of hire for reliable tracking and analytics.
What’s New
1) Create multi-position requisitions and jobs
You can now add multiple positions under a single requisition or job, each with its own location, start hire date, and target hire date—without duplicating jobs for every opening.
2) View and track positions within a job
A new Positions tab inside a job provides a consolidated view of:
- Open positions
- Closed positions
- Unplanned positions (created when hiring exceeds plan)
You can also track key indicators such as:
- Closed vs Total Positions
- Position-wise hiring status
- Time to close a position
3) Position–candidate mapping at hire
When a candidate is hired, Keka Hire will map the candidate to a position based on:
- Location match, and then
- Earliest start hire date, followed by
- Earliest target hire date
This ensures high-priority positions are filled first and enables accurate position-level reporting for time to fill and recruiter contribution.
4) Smart over-hiring management
Hiring beyond planned positions is now handled automatically:
- Soft alerts notify you when hires exceed planned positions
- The system creates and tags Unplanned Positions to preserve data accuracy
- A new Position ID is generated for each unplanned position created due to over-hiring
5) Position-level reports
You can now run reports at the position level across jobs, enabling stronger visibility into position status, timelines, and outcomes across the organization.
