Introduction
To help employees avoid salary deductions for issues like late swipes, missed punches, or insufficient work hours, Keka now sends proactive email alerts before attendance buffer limits are breached. These reminders help employees stay on track and ensure timely action to resolve attendance discrepancies.
Configure penalty reminder alerts
From the left-hand panel, go to Global Settings > Communications > Event Triggers > Attendance.
Click on Add New Event.
Select Employee Penalty Reminder Notification from the event list.
If it's not already added, include the event by following the prompt.
Click Add Action, then choose Send Email.
Edit the recipient list to target the right employees.
Customize the subject line and email template to align with your organization’s tone and needs.
You can apply filters like Department, Employment Status, or other criteria to target specific groups of employees.
Keka automatically adjusts reminder frequency based on the buffer:
Up to 3 days: 1 reminder
4–6 days: 2 reminders
7+ days: 4 reminders
Once you’ve customized everything, make sure to Save your settings.
