This article walks you through the step-by-step process of creating your growth plan, customising learning goals, and updating progress in Keka.
Who Can Do This?
All employees with access to the Performance module can create and manage their own growth plans.
Navigate to the Growth Plans Section
Go to the Performance tab from the left navigation panel.
Click on the Growth tab at the top and then select Growth Plan.
Select My growth plans.
Create a New Growth Plan
Click on Create new plan on the top-right.
2. Enter the Plan Name (e.g., "Personal Growth Plan").
3. Select the Timeframe (e.g., Q2-2025).
4. Add a learning goal (e.g., Strengthen Learning and Development Initiatives).
5. Add details with key results (KRAs) like course completions or launches.
6. Set the dates (e.g., 1 Jun 2025 – 31 Aug 2025)
7. Choose the metric type (e.g., Percentage)
8. Set the goal purpose (e.g., Learn new skill)
9. Click + Add skills to search and include relevant competencies.
10. Click + Add resource to:
Attach documents (.pdf, .docx, etc.)
Link to YouTube/Vimeo videos
Add reference URLs
11. Click + Add task to define measurable activities within the plan. Enter the task description along with the start and end dates.
12. Once all fields are complete, click Create Plan.
13. Once you have created a growth plan, click + Add learning goal to begin customising your development path.
Add and Customise Learning Goals
For each learning goal:
Enter a Goal Name (e.g., "Improve Analytical Skill").
Add an optional Description to define the scope of the goal.
Define the Time Frame and Target metric (e.g., 100% completion).
Select the Purpose (e.g., Learn a new skill).
Add relevant Skills to learn by clicking + Add skills.
Attach Learning resources and Tasks that support the goal by using the respective options.
2. Click Add to include the goal in your growth plan.
Track and Update Your Progress
1. Under your plan, you’ll see a progress bar next to each learning goal.
2. Click on the progress bar to open the Progress and status panel.
3. Update the New Value (e.g., 60%) and Status (e.g., On Track).
4. Optionally, add a Note or Attachment for context.
5. Click Update to save your progress.
Explore Suggested Goals (Optional)
- On the right-hand side, you can browse Suggested Goals relevant to your role and career path. Click View goals to explore and add them to your growth plan.
2. On the right panel, you'll see a section titled "Goals to fix your performance & skill gaps."
3. Review the list of suggested goals relevant to your current or future roles.
Select Goals to Add
Tick the checkbox next to each goal you want to add.
2. Once selected, click the “Add goals” button at the bottom right of the side panel.
Choose the Plan to Add Goals To
A pop-up will appear prompting you to select a plan.
2. From the dropdown, choose your existing Personal Growth Plan.
3. Click on “Add goals” to complete the process.
By creating and customising your growth plan in Keka, you take a proactive step toward continuous learning and career advancement. Use this tool regularly to stay aligned with both personal aspirations and organisational expectations.
