When a new employee joins the organization, they typically begin in a Probation status. This initial phase helps both the employee and employer assess fit and performance. The probation period usually ranges from 1 to 6 months.
In Keka, there are three ways to change an employee's probation status:
1. From the Employee’s Profile
Search for the employee using the Global Search
Go to the Job section of the employee’s profile
Find the In Probation? field and click the Edit icon
In the pop-up, select End Probation
Choose the Probation End Date and add a note
Click Update to save the changes
2. From the Org Section
Go to Org > Employees
Navigate to the Probation tab
In the In Probation section, search for the employee
Under Actions, click Options > Change Probation Status
Select End Probation and Confirm as Full-time Employee
Choose the End Date, add feedback, and click Submit
3. Through Bulk Import
Go to Org > Dashboard > Summary
Click Import Employee Job Details
Download the Excel Template
Choose All Employees or filter using Only Group
In the Excel sheet, update the Probation End Date and In Probation status
Save the file and return to Keka
Click Upload Excel File and select your file
Review the data and click Continue
If there are no errors, click Complete to finish the update
