- Go to Time Attend > Attendance Tracking > Penalisation Policy.
- Select the relevant policy from the list.
- Go to the Versions section and click the update icon for the 'Current' tracking policy.
- In the Basic Information section, choose the effective date for the new version and click Save.
- In the Work Hours section, toggle the switch to penalize (deduct leave) for shortage of work hours.
- Choose whether penalisation happens based on Gross hours or Effective hours.
- Select the Deduction Period (Day, Week, Month) for which the work hours are taken into account for calculation.
- Define the leave deduction policy accordingly.
- Set the option "If average effective hours in a Day is less than X shift hours, deduct X leave as per policy."
- Add multiple rules by clicking on +Add rule if needed.
- If you select the Deduction Period as Week or Month, click "click here" to select a particular day of the week or a specific date in a month.
- Finally, click Save to save the changes.
